The HVAC Foreman supervises and coordinates the HVAC team responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems on offshore rigs or drilling platforms. This role ensures that all HVAC tasks are completed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with industry standards.
Key Duties and Requirements
- Supervise and lead the HVAC team in the installation, maintenance, and repair of HVAC systems on the rig.
- Assign tasks to team members, ensuring work is completed according to project specifications and deadlines.
- Monitor and assess HVAC system performance, making adjustments as necessary to maintain optimal function.
- Ensure all HVAC operations comply with safety regulations, environmental standards, and quality control procedures.
- Provide training and support to HVAC technicians and junior staff, fostering skill development.
- Coordinate with other departments and contractors to integrate HVAC systems with other rig operations.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance, repairs, and inventory of HVAC systems and components.
- Requires 5+ years of experience in HVAC systems with supervisory experience, preferably in offshore or industrial settings. HVAC certification and strong leadership skills are essential.
